Bio

Blue started life as a blues guitarist but by his late teens had moved on to jazz, and switched to alto sax and bass clarinet.

Like most British jazz musician he relied on daytime jobs to support his music, and when that took him off around the world (especially the Far East) the wind synth became his main instrument for performing live.

Blue’s exposure to Chinese, Indian and Indonesian music began to influence his composing style.

Synthesisers became his main medium for composing and recording, using a mixture of sampled real instruments and synthesised sounds.

Recent albums have been an eclectic mix of jazz, world, classical and electro styles which make them hard to categorise, yet appreciated by a wide audience where the hurdle of exposure for independent artists allows.
